About The Citizenship Academy

Over the next three years the Citizenship Academy will work with 30 disabled people from across Scotland.

The course is designed to introduce students to a range of tools that will enable them to become active citizens, both locally and nationally

The Academy Board

An academy board made up of 9 disabled and non disabled members, from different regions of Scotland, oversees the Citizenship Academy.

Their job is to decide on course content, student admissions and how it should be delivered. Many of the board members also work directly with students in some of the modules. The board is committed to developing the academy and ensuring it’s success. They met regularly to plan each development of the course. We have one graduate from the academy sitting on the board and hope to have more join the future.
